House of Prussia

Käthe-Kollwitz-Platz 6, 39307, Genthin

In the past the House of Prussia was a school building which was built in 1902 according to the plans of the city planner Engelbrecht. It is a replica of a school which was built in 1767. It was probably built around the same time as the church of the village. The roof fits into the village-like area whereas the material of the facade reminds viewers more of a city-like character. Today the house is used as the town hall. Visitors can explore the regional and national history of the Prussian colonial village through articles located on presentation boards.
